September: Month for Selling Equipment

Some of you may recall last March being my designated month of celebacy (i.e. no buying of camera equipment). I was amazed at the positive feedback and the many "followers" who actually tried not to buy more equipment in one month.

My thought now is to designate September for selling off a few camera items. Needless to say that some people here have to be buyers or else there will be no sales.

I will in the coming days screen what I have to see what can be sold off here. If things don't sell here, we have to go to evil-bay.

What come to my mind is these items:

1. Olympus XA.
2. Canon 85mm/1.9 with all shiny metal adapters and hood.
3. Canon 135mm/3.5 with leather case and Canon finder.
4. Konica S2


This will do for my first comittment.

I got rid of so much of my equipment before that I don't have much left that I want to part with.
 
Most of us here tend to sell stuff in order to get more stuff...I'm guessing there will be no lack of buyers. I, myself, will be looking for a 100mm Canon lens one of these days...as soon as I can stand parting with my PSP, probably.
 
Let's just offer items for sale and not worry about buyers being there or not.

I may also sell a nice Canon 35mm/2.8 and a Minox GT.

Come on ...put stuff up for [a September] sale.

I know. This one was for many years my pride and joy. Just thinking about it now. I need to cut down on equipment I am not using.

I'm considering selling an M4-P (brass top), 50mm Summitar, 35/3.5 Summaron w/ removable goggles...let's see, what else is sitting around here?

edit:...oh yeah two TLR's, a YashicaMat 124G with case and proper hood, and a Ricohflex Dia L

I will be selling my Canonet G-III QL17 this month.

I don't use it anymore (and I've bought a couple of '50s vintage LTM lenses).

Some gear I just won't sell, even if it's not getting used. I'm not taking it to the grave, I'm passing it on to my kids. My hope is that they will appreciate it. If not, well, it just won't bother me then.
 
Raid, sometimes you are plain brilliant!

Hope Joe let's this thread continue as a "special month" with the precedence of the "no buying gear" month.

I just bought a Minolta Z6 for a carry around Digital and now you through the LC1 out there. Oh my shattered nevers. I have my eye on a IIIa so a bunch of stuff may go. Just Sold my Canon 10D last week.
