Serial Numbers again

From previous posts, almost all the serial numbers start with "0". My camera's number starts with "1" (1009xx). Would this indicate that it belongs to the last of the produced units, based on the 10.000 unit production limit?

Well I for one hope they keep producing these, if they've made more the 8,000 great. It does't seem likely that they would take the RD1 apart to update to the RD1s so maybe they've made another run. It is odd though that thay have not announced that they are still in production, it would help give perspective buyers confidence in the product.

So of the original RD-1 (not "s") which had 00x,xxx numbers, what is the higest number anyone has found so far?
