Servicing a Leica in the UK

Can anybody recommend a good technician for Leica repair / CLA in the UK, preferably south-east England?

Read nothing but good things about CRR in Luton.

I spoke to my usual Pentax repair man in London on Friday. He said that the technician there is probably the best Leica guy in Europe.

Just another recommendation in the same direction. Peter had my M3 at CRR over christmas and it's unbelievably good now.

Also worth considering is Malcolm Taylor in Herefordshire who often advertises in Amateur Photographer. He's just done an excellent job on my M6. Last time I spoke to him he just happened to mention that he had serviced the origonal Ur-Leica prototype back in the seventies.If he's good enough to be trusted with that he's good enough for me.

Malcolm Taylor isn't cheap (not even if you imagine really hard) but does good work.

Ditto Peter at CRR. He painted black an M2-R and CLA'd it at the same time. Amazing. He has an M4 of mine now. Great guy too.
