Seventy five year old photographs … Roll #3

Be sure to thank the owner of the images for allowing you to share them with us. It's not often we get such a great look at the past.

Thanks for doing this, can't wait to see some more.

I drove through Banf just this summer, though it was evening when I entered the park. The pictures resemble what I saw there. I really like pic taken in the car driving among the towering trees. In Banf, one section we passed was like that. Trees that touched the stars.... almost like you are in a tunnel.... I think we spent about 45 minutes driving through those woods.

I knew these were coming Keith but i'm still blown away! they're amazing! simply amazing! to think that these photos 75 years old holding images of a world that has grown and progressed from a vantage point completely unique to the photographer have now surfaced here thanks to you and the family who own them. i think this is exactly why i take photographs - so that one day the same might happen to mine :) (guess i need to save my images on a CD-ROM with a strange file type and pass them on to my grand kids and ask them to do the same ;))

The shooter whoever she is/was ... thanks you Israel! :p

My favorite's the driver asleep in the car ... she's obviously gone off for a fairly lengthy walk to find things to photograph and found an irresistable scene when she returned. :D

The good news is I have roll #4 scanned and ready to upload ... each one of these rolls is taking close to a day to scan and post process and I suspect that at the end of all this cloning and healing over the remaining rolls I will have worn out my mouse!

I may as well upload a few more images from this roll before we move on!

Joining the chorus here, I'm totally digging these pictures. I'm totally surprised how well they have turned out, no doubt thanks to meticulous post-processing. Thanks for sharing Keith, and please keep them coming!

Just be thankful she wasn't Winogrand

Keith, these are absolutely bloody amazing!

I’ve bookmarked the link to your Zenfolio site because I want to go over these again and again.

Now off to look at roll 4.

I must have been snoozing, I missed that you posted more of these. Great stuff, yet again. I dig the one of the porters.
