Following on from roll #14 posted in this thread.
They certainly do shoot horses, in fact this entire roll is of a horse ... and what a beautiful animal it is!
Assuming that the photographer is known to have been a highly skilled dressage competitor this is probably her own horse ... or maybe one she was thinking of buying? It's hard to be sure but her delight in this particular animal is obvious and some of the pics of her and the horse are very well taken ... who was the photographer? Not her travelling companion I would think because she never exhibited this much skill with a camera!
Definitely in Austria I would say ... before or after her world cruise? Who knows!

She has great conformation. The horse looks good too. 
Another set of good photos. I don't know if the photographer was better, more experienced, or just more relaxed. But the quality of the photos seems better. Especially exposure wise. The lady was obviously a good rider, as she sits the horse comfortably. The horse seems to have a good gait, and appreciate the lady's company. One has to wonder if she already owned the horse, or at least had ridden it a lot. The photographer was adept at getting photos that show off the horse and rider.
Any chance of getting a look at the license plate of the car in some of the frames Keith?

There's no angle in any of the thirty six shots that allows you to see the car's plate unfortunately!
Whover was using the camera to photograph Bettina and the horse was pretty adept at focusing on a moving target ... no mean feat with a rangefinder and they all appear to be pretty well dead on!

I find the deliberate focusing on the horse interesting in 9&10. The horse must be something special!!! Also a very low DOF.

Wow...I've been following this series since the start, some really fascinating stuff. But these images are on a different level given the shallow depth of field and framing. Very cool and thank you Keith for this glimpse into a different era.

I'm sort of wondering if a professional photographer was hired for the day to get the shots of this horse?
Aside from the high standard of the photos themselves I noticed the film was extremely easy to scan because exposure and developing were near perfect!

Actually I just remembered one of the photos has a shadow of the photographer in it. Quite a few frames were damaged on this roll ... it looks like it got water on it at some stage. It was loose in the box and not in a container like the others!
The shadow is definitely a female in a full length dress!

If she was a dressage rider it might have been her local stables where she was used to shooting, know the light etc and know the exact technique for shooting the horses, whereas on holiday it would have all been new fast paced and harder to get a grip on techniqiue wise.

Just a timid try - I do not remember if You tried to identify the years of her journey to Europe. Do You know the approximate period of her journey to Europe (or Austria - You said this might be Austria in this roll).

What a beautiful animal! Has anyone else noticed the apparent angles of the shadows of the horse and photographer? (EDIT: also the two others in the shot?) I also love the look of that old car.
To bad about not being able to find an angle for the plates.
