We're meeting on Thursday, 4/2 at the BBC in Menlo Park at ~7 PM. Hope to see both new and old faces!

BUMP!

Steve, we'll have to talk about a meeting/shoot in Sac before it gets too hot up there. I bet you can come up with some good locations for a group.

Papercut and I will be there. It's been awhile vrgard!

Glad to hear you can make it, Mike. Yeah, I've been kinda busy over the last 9+ months opening my new firm. Just starting to get back into shooting. Looking forward to Thursday night.

I really wish I could join you, guys! How's the weather in that part of the world? Sunny, at least? It's rainy and gray here... And we had snow (8 inches) just last Sunday!

Yeah, wish you could make it too. It's been gorgeous this week, definitely spring has sprung.

Picking up my sister at the airport. If I can get out of dinner in San Mateo soon enough I'll pop down. I love the BBC, fun place!

Ray,
I'm still trying to make it to my first "Beer & Gear" event, but its not going to happen yet! :-( We're packing for our first ever trip to The Land of Disney. I must be crazy to attempt it on Spring Break, but that's what the 7-yr. old wants.

Thanks Ray for organizing, and for the open invite to Blow-Up! Great vibe, books, beer and truly kickass gear. Good to meet the faces behind the RFF avatars, and the homage to Helen Levitt was fitting.

Peter.

P.S. I was taken by the idea of pet names for antique Leicas -- it puts a human face on GAS. It's too bad "Creampuff" has already been taken. ;-)

P.P.S. Thanks of a grateful drinker to the unknown who bought me the beer, and sorry if I made fun of your enviable camera. It's just the beer making GAS.

Was a good time. Enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new ones. When I have time tomorrow I'll post some of the "spooky" pics I took.

Great meeting everyone -- new faces and old (not that I'm calling any of you "old" or anything... damn, there I go being annoying like a papercut again). Excellent gear and even better conversation all evening long! Big thanks to "Halfway Ray" for taking the lead in making it happen. ... and I think my toes and fingers are just about thawed out now.

I agree we should do a Sac get together before it gets furnace-like up there.
