SF Bay Area Bessa R3 Users?

Hi everyone,

I'm relatively new here but have been on the Large Format Photography Forum and photo.net for a while.

After a few months of playing with an Olympus 35 RC and XA, I'm considering purchasing an R3A with a 40mm lens.

I am hesitant to purchase them without any hands-on experience however. If you would be willing to show me around your R3A or R3M with 40mm Nokton at your neighborhood coffee shop, please email or PM me. I'd be happy to bring along $20 worth of your favorite film or make a donation of same amount to your favorite charity for your time/trouble.

A minute after I posted this I saw the link on the leftt hand side for Voigtlander in SF. Guess I will check them out at Rayko.

I was in SF just 12 months ago and went in search of Rayko to get my hands on an R3A. They were great. Very low key. I got to play with the toys and I walked out with a new R3A and a 40mm Nokton. I recommend them.

I was much intrigued by their "build your own Nikon F3" display and will be sorely tempted the next time I'm in town to add to my collection of F3's.
