Hi all,

As any of you already used Shanghai 100 ISO B&W film?
I have found some cheap packs on the web and just wonder what the results are in 120 format.

I have gotten good results with it. It does well in Rodinal 1+50 or Diafine, both at box speed. However, it curls even more than Fomapan and the numbers on the backing paper are VERY faint, almost impossible to read through the red window. Also, I had a few rolls where I lost half a frame because the film was not attached to right place on the backing paper.

If you are looking to save money on 120 film, look at Arista EDU (Foma) from Freestyle.

Shanghai 100 is much like Foma 100. Same classic tonality, same soft emulsion. Goes well together with Rodinal. Funny, but I don't remember it curling badly.

good film at box speed. dont try pushing any of the chinese made 100 films to 400. the shadows goes completely black. but the grain remains low, i much prefer grain over no shadow detail though.
