Shantou Era film dealer

Era has a grey base, Lucky's is very clear. Perhaps the grey in the emulsion does the anti-halation job?

Yes, that's the purpose of it.

Somebody said it's no longer made, so I guess it's a waste of time to buy it and try to get familiar w/ it now. Sad to see a good deal pass by the wayside.

Being new here I'm not sure if I should ask this but I am confused.

Why would I buy Chinese film when Kodak, Ilford and Fuji are desparately trying to hang on?

Haven't they earned any customer loyalty?

Well, see, those cost me an arm and a leg nowadays if I can find them at all. I just bought 10 rolls of Lucky SHD400 from Taiwan for $18 including postage. That makes them about 1.50 euro each. Cheaper than anything available. And no, the big names haven't earned my customer loyalty. I never bought much from them to begin with, they're not available everywhere anymore and they're more expensive. I vote with my wallet. Isn't that what consumerism is all about? 🙂
