Hi, Isor!
Yes, I still have the Jupiter 3 and will not miss it. But I am a little puzzled now...first, I'd like to know the aperture? Smaller aperture (bigger number) than 2.8, I assume?
But you are so close...or is the dog so large ;-)
And what about this wide angle effect in the second pic?
Please, explain...
Cheers,
Andreas

Isor,
at 1.5 my Jupiter 3 pics are much more blurry in the bokeh. Mine is from 55...maybe your's is later, with a more moden bokeh?
NS: Picture has been taken after sundown - this sonnar lens copy lens is exceptional, a little bit irritaging sometimes, indeed...

Now that is just too pretty! I wish mine was ready to be re-skinned but it's too nice yet. Am thinking more of an orange or blue for mine.

very nice! and green isn't even my favourite colour.
i see you have a mini soft release on your rd1, how do you like it?
i normally have used one on all my cameras but don't like the feel on the rd1.

Thanks for the praise guys. Green isn't my favourite colour either, but I somehow had an idea that it would look good an already vintage looking camera, enhances the classic looks. Elephant hide grey could have been another choice.
Regarding the MSR. Yes, it does take some getting used to. I find using it close to a marksman's technique. You slowly press the shutter and its more or less a moment of surprise when it fires. But I do find it helps with slower speeds, even if I'm not yet proficient enough to anticipate the exact moment it fires.

Welcome to the crowd, Flash! Seems "learn how" is more conerning to post and not concrning how to frame, I assume after I have recognized your gear...
Here are some tryouts from tonight:
Got a Nokton 1,4/40 from another RFF enthusiast...I was surprised. Nice bookeh, easy to handle (much better than the 1.5/50 Nokton), solution not so different from Summicron 2/40...
Could be my favourite. A little bit more weight than Summicron, a litte bit stiffer, the grip handle is...no, its not soo ergonomic. But the results: fine for me. So my outddors gear will be CV 15, CV Nokton 40, Leica Elmar 4/90. Everything pocket size...
Both pics available light, aperture 1.4, ISO 400:

rangefinder freak!
Nokton 40mm f1.4 is really fantastic.
I have one of my own and I prefer it to the Leica 40mm, but that's only me

Erik, it would not surprise me, if your last shot is made at ISO 1600.
I have seen, that the RD1 is extremely clean and very fine grained at ISO1600, which gives me high hopes for pushing the files. I use ISO 3200 pushed TX400 most of the time with my M6 and enjoy low light shooting a lot. Too bad, there is much work (and heavy rainy days this week :-().

Ahh - Andreas, how do I miss these institutions of the homelands daily living culture like the weekend carwash.
The world is quite different in China - for the good and for the bad in times ;-)
Nice colors out of the camera. I just experiment the first time with the R-D1's color out of JPGs. There are some very nice almost pastel tones, which really look different from the saturated and wild standard colors from Canon and Nikon.
The EPSON colors look less "real" but more pleasing to my eye.
