Hi Alan, thanks for sharing your memories. I don't think many people will have visited Bujumbura. I also came to Burundi by way of Rwanda, with stopovers in Butare and Cyangugu. Much later than you but I stayed a bit longer: from 1996 until 2001. Good and bad memories: a hauntingly beautiful country and during that time, also a rather violent one. Cheers, OtL
