My darkroom is currently under reconstruction so I use a change bag to roll the film on the metal reels. Maybe this is only my problem, but if I had more than two or three rolls to work with my hands would get sweaty inside what is, essentially, a plastic bag and make it very difficult to roll the rest of the film. So this is a solution I came up with that worked quite well. I put some ice cubes in a double ziplock bag and presto! instant change bag air conditioning ;)

Just thought I'd share...

I'd have thought that providing a cool surface would just cause it to condense and make the bag even wetter...

@mfogiel Very cool. Haven't seen that one. Thanks. Mine is a simple double changing bag with a double zipper on one end and arms openings on the other.

@Jake06 Good point and I have no explanation except that it was a lot more comfortable this way.

A cotton bag is a lot nicer. But if it's REALLY hot, even that won't help (think changing Grafmatics in a Greek summer).

Cheers,

R.
