Sharing some photos: Efke 25 in Rodinal - Share yours too!

I havent had a chance to post on the forums for a while, but hopefully that is changing. 🙂

It sure has been freezing around here in the DC area. Plenty of snow. I managed to venture out during the day and shoot a roll of film with my Spotmatic II and 50/4 macro tak. It was really bright outside so I used efke 25 @ 25, stand developed in rodinal. This was my first time using efke 25 and also my first time using rodinal. I am very happy with the results, so I figured I'd share a few of the photos with you all. 🙂

If any of you have efke 25 in rodinal photos, please share those too!

nice work, David. tempts me to try some of that 25. I guess you got a fresh blanket of snow last night to top off how many feet that were already on the ground?

I suppose we got a little bit more snow, but with the amount that is already on the ground (four feet roughly) it is tough to see any noticeable difference. None of the new snow stuck to the roads, thankfully.

I recommend giving efke 25 a spin. It was very easy to stand develop in rodinal at 1:100.

I sure am tired of the snow. 😛

No idea about the grain. It doesn't look as fine as some of the efke 25 photos I've seen by others. But, no idea if I did something 'wrong' or not haha. I like grain anyway so I'm cool with it. It is much less grain than I am used to.

I would have guessed the grain would be a little finer with this film, even in Rodinal.

I was thinking the same thing.

I suspect it has to do with the single layer emulsion or something. It is not particularly fine grain for an ISO 25 film.

I believe it is made using the same formula. See below (from freestyle photo):

Efke films are manufactured using classic emulsions with very high silver content. This results in a large grayscale reproduction. The Efke 25, 50 and 100 films are made using the ADOX formulas that were first introduced back in the late 1940s.

and the name on the box is KB 25. I suspect that is the answer to your question, but I am going out on a limb if I say "yes".
