Well-known
I frequently see comparisons of lenses adapted from SLR / Rangfinder .
My 39mm CV 35 f 2.5 is more than acceptable in sharpness etc , much like on the M8 . [ if I can focus it well LOL ]
But I choose to use a refurbished black USSR fake Elmar 'cos I love the painterly look from it ! [ not to mention how cool it looks ! ]
I also love playing with other USSR lenses and using my Summitar .
Maybe the supplied zoom will provide more accurate results with much more ease ... but the strange ' magic ' does not translate .
I certainly don't expect modern results , neither do I worry if my legacy Rokkors , which would otherwise be redundant , can't match a proper Panasonic prime lens .
I guess adapting my M8 to use Sonnar clones indicates how much in the past I like to be !
