Hmm, I see both the "newbie" bidders have bid on a total of three items - I wonder if they're the same three?

If you run those "names" through the community search, it comes back with an error message that names have to contain two characters before an asterisk. These are obviously fake bidder accounts. I would never buy from a seller that had this going on.

$1325 is like twice the real value.

The newbi bidders certainly are suspicious but the names aren't.
Due to a new "security" feature, eBay masks the real bidder user name with the one character - three asterisks - one character pattern.
The price of the item is too high in my opinion. So when one of the shills wins, the only 'real' buyer has bid much less. So the seller get sto pay the listing and final value fees twice. Justice.

I don't think it is shill bidding, doesn't fit the pattern. If you want tp bump it just put in two highish bids. This looks more like the pattern of 2 newbies getting carried away in a bidding war.

This seller has sold some nice gear for high prices before. He had a couple Nikon SPs and some other gear that went pretty high. Even for a seller with a good reputation, that M3 price seems high.

why would they shill bid against each other for two days? Makes no sense. The only "real" bidder, if they are indeed shills, dropped out long ago.

Who cares anyway? If you think it's gone too high - do not bid. Simple as that. When I bid - I bid once - highest I'm prepared to pay and don't look at it till after it's over. So, if it meant to be - I'll get it, if not - there is always other things I can bid on.

All it takes is one legit bidder with deep pockets who doesn't understand (1) shill bidding, and (2) current market value of the item to bid above the current high bid and voila, a good sale is made for the seller! That is what this seller is hoping for. Kinda like a poor man's reserve.

Looks like a new bidder. Zero feedback. It will be interesting to see if #997498 shows up again. When Randy is "not" looking for another M3, maybe he'll see it.
