I've browsed the Contax G1/2 models for a while now. I recently picked up my first RF body, a clean Yashica GSN. Then added a G-III QL17. These cameras remind me what I enjoyed about photography 20 yrs ago. I ran across this G1 on the bay and jumped. It should be here mid week. I think I did alright... Your thoughts?

You and I have the same cameras. I paid $425 for my G1 with the 28mm Biogon, and I think that was a good price...your deal was as good or better!
I love the G1 so far. I've only had it for a couple of weeks. Shooting Kodachrome on it now and will ship out a few rolls this week...

Yeah. Though I find it hard to believe it was purchased new and only 3 rolls of film run through it, the photos seem to depict a nearly flawless camera an lens. I hope there are no suprises. I understand the G cameras to be very durable, so I don't really expect anything to be wrong with it. I'll post some results once it arrives and I run a couple of test rolls.
