i just sent off a small package to toronto, cost would have been 8 and change but i sent it to arrive in 3 days - cost was 10.75 (2 bucks difference)

i just sent off a slightly larger parcel to texas.
cost was 5.75

canada post makes no sense.

cheaper to send to ANOTHER COUNTRY (5 bucks) than to send IN COUNTRY (8 bucks)!!!

Going from the US to Canada is crazy as well. Air Letter Post is cheap, but you cannot insure it. Air Parcel Post is no faster, but costs about $10 more for a 1pound package. But it allows you to insure it. So the cost to insure a $50 camera to Canada is almost $15 more than sending it Air Letter Post, and it arrives in about the same amount of time. Found this out when the guy who ran our one-man Post Office that sold me insurance for Air Letter Post retired. He thought it was crazy too.

speaking of Canada.... i bought something from a guy in 'blue sky region, canada' a couple of wks ago.. i think he was going to ship on the 18th... still not here yet... how long does it usually take??
