I have been doing a lot of walking in the city and find that the great shoes I have for hiking in the forests do not do so well on the urban street / pavement. My running shoes are better than the hiking shoes, however, they become less than ideal when the weather turns bad.For those of you who do a lot of urban / street shooting, what shoes do you reach for when you go out for the whole day?
Thanks,
Jim

I find my most comfortable shoes for walking on pavement are a pair of well broken-in Johnston & Murphy dress shoes. Your choice of socks matters, good ones in bamboo or wool wick away perspiration better than cotton ones.

Thanks Majid,
These are probably quite comfortable, however, not as much when the weather turns bad and you need to spend a couple of hours in the rain. The shoes that I have found that are good for any weather condition, usually have a Gore-Tex or similar upper. Problem that I have found are that these tend to be trail shoes and have a harder sole that are good for moving on rough terrain, but not optimal for extended walking on concrete. I was hoping that some of the street photographers that hang out here might have some recommendations.

Sketchers CityWalk. I swear to god, miles a day in them and I can still sprint if I need to at the end.
