Shooting at art work whit a rangefinder

Close focus is 3 1/2 feet (just over 1 meter). I don't own one of these lenses. At that distance, judging by my 85mm, the longer dimension of the frame would cover a painting about 20" tall (about half a meter) or larger. So smaller artwork -- something the size of a magazine, for instance, would have to cropped. If you have the lens already, you might want to experiment.

A Rangefinder is just about the poorest possible choice you can make for copy-camera work. Even a cheap SLR will be better.
