Just curious... for those of you who shoot color regularly:

1. What do you primarily use? Digital? Film? Slide?

2. What is your choice digital camera/color film/E6 as your primary tool?

3. What is your primary output? computer image? print? project to a wall?

And here's something you may want to change - I can (and did) choose both color film and digital - so this is a "moot" poll because the question states "which is your primary tool" - ergo - singular not more than one.

Regardless - this depends on what I'm shooting - if I'm being paid for what I shoot then I'm using digital - just easier that way - if it's for me, then color negs.

Cheers,
Dave

By color film, I think you mean color negative

Yup.

I do want primary only, but wanted to accommodate those who shoot multiple media equally; this being RFF, a single choice poll would have brought up the inevitable "I shoot both digital and film equally; why can't I make multiple choices on this poll?" :bang:

Mostly I shoot digital colour; although I do like C-41

Primary tool:
for Capture - Canon digital RAW
for Colour Processing - LR4/CS6, sometimes with Filmbot or PhotoLooks plug-ins
for Prints - Epson K6 Ultrachrome ink set

Primary output: I print my favourites, the rest are on disk

Mainly shoot C41 and E6, sometimes B&W trichromic which although slow I love the results.

I occasionally shoot digital for stuff I need fast, but while film is still here its my medium of choice.

Everything I do starts out as color using a Pen Mini or Pentax K-r with an older lens. I then convert to b/w with Perfect Photo Suite 7. I have never printed a color image but I have posted a few.

Years ago it would have been E6 and a bit of C-41. Now I am nearly 100% digital.

Capture - Panasonic digital RAW
Color Processing - LR4/CS6
Prints - Epson K6 Ultrachrome inks

I used to shoot E-6 for all my color, but since no one in Indiana can develop it anymore, and my Canon 5DmkII beats out any 35mm color slide film (and comes VERY close to medium format) I just shoot digital now.

My black and white work is all film.
