Shooting with a Holga ... some bargain!

I got a Holga 135 (the standard-issue version) as a gift from a friend in Hong Kong. I like it, but it doesn't see much action.

I just think it's standard fare for the CBD of any large city ... you pay for the privilege of breathing in all that pollution and having your toes constantly trodden on by the masses.

Can you tell I don't like cities? 😛

Last night I just watched a video of Sally Mann exposing a wet-plate with a rickety 8x10 (or is that 11x14 ?) camera, covering the lens (no shutter, obviously) with her hand as she use her head to keep the camera steady while she pull the darkslide from the plate holder with the other hand.

The last time I had B&W 120 developed I gasped at the price. I do it at home from now on, though I don't use 120 that much. But I happen to have a Holga as well as a 6x12 pinhole camera.

Holy crap😱! A couple of months ago, I purchased an Original Diana at a local flea market for 3 Euros.

Tell her to scan the negs insted😉😀.

It must be a good camera and take good pictures if it costs that much. 😀 😀

For that much money you could buy a nice Zeiss folder and smear vasoline on the lens. Although in some parts you would likely be hauled into court for doing so. 😡 (but you would have money left over for the lawyer anyway)
