shooting with Fuji has made my PP a lot easier

We had my cousins wedding over the long weekend and I decided to bring the X-E2 with me (18mm f2 and 35mm f2) and iphone, no laptop as I wanted to travel light.
Fuji has given me the advantage of beautiful SOOC JPEG pictures with minimal PP and then quickly transfer them to my phone to quickly share to friends and family and social media.
During the reception, I took a quick picture of my cousin, niece and nephew then quickly transferred them to my iphone and showed to the family and everyone was amazed.

I was shooting in RAW+N in classic chrome as most people want colors but for my personal work I shoot in B&W Yellow filter, then process in CC or Velvia if I want it in color.

Once the venue got darker, I used a rubber band to point the X-E2 flash point up to the ceiling and got some cool shots, I'll share them later today.

I have quit from RAW for sometime now at all of my digital cameras. 🙂

I was thinking of shooting the Fuji on 3 simulation JPEG mode (B&W, CC and Velvia) but I don't like the delay on each shots while the camera is processing the image so RAW+N for now.
Then manually process the images I really like.

For landscape though, I'll still process RAW for more control.

Agreed Fuji ooc jpegs have tempted me to switch brand. Especially since they can be developed in-camera from raw files on card.

The penultimate wedding portrait camera a few years ago was the Fujifilm S1Pro through the S5Pro. A dlsr, built on various Nikon chassis, w/Fuji sensor and electronics. I went through them all. They were 6 Mp interpolated to 12, and for that reason only really popular in the portrait and wedding market.

They excelled for whites, highlights and skin tones. Apparently that remains true, as I am now shooting a few of the x-trans sensors. However, I likely will pick up another S5Pro. They use Nikon F mount lenses... including all the AF lenses.

I also lean toward Fujifilm on the side of they have never used lowpass or AA filtering on any of their sensors.

I had one Fujifilm S5Pro with 250,000 click on the shutter, and the fellow who purchased it from me is still using it. He bought it about three years ago.

The Fujifilm S3 Pro's use a slightly earlier Nikon Body, but all the same electronics as the S5, for the most part. They take all the same Nikon F mount lenses and AF with all the AF lenses from Nikon. They can be had on eBay for about $200 for the bodies, but they do not offer a shutter count, as the S5 Pro does. The S2 Pro is about a $100 body, and again, same sensor, etc. w/even earlier Nikon chassis. Odd battery system for the S2... one for Fuji's stuff and one for the Nikon body.

All use the same sensor and produce similar "wedding - Portrait - Whites and highlights" but not so hot in landscape.
