Youxin Ye is the subject of a short documentary 'The Art of Work' by Julian Jarry. I will post the link as soon as I see it.

Excellent! Thank you. I've met Youxin and been to his home several times. Nice man and good repair person.
Lots of good reviews/anecdotes on the 'net regarding Youxin.
Nice little article with some great images:

During my last visit. Youxin CLA'd my 2nd IIIf/Leicavit, and Wen (his wife) gently cleaned the glass elements of the 50 LTM Summicron (Youxin disassembles the lens for her and then he reassembles).
A great team!

That sounds like fun, I will definately watch it. Youxin has cleaned a number of lenses for me, and did a great job on an M2 i used to have. I am also surprised that he does not charge more for his services.

Youxin has cleaned a Nikon 5cm/2 and also checked out CLA'd the Sears Tower 35 camera. I will try to watch the documentary on him. Thanks.

Youxin is a treasure! We should be very grateful for what he does for the Leica community.

Sometime ago I was reading here at RFF what if he couldn't figure it out it is going to D.A.G.
But his strong point was in willingness for CLA of made in Japan LTM cameras, big plus.

There used to be a man in Houston, Texas that worked on RF cameras and I used him a few times but sadly he retired.

When I picked up a well-used M6 a few years back, I drove it over to Youxin's place, and he tuned it up for me while I waited! We had a nice conversation while he worked on the camera. He barely charged me anything, and walked me out to my car! He is definitely a treasure.

Last year, he did a CLA on my Tower Type-3 (Nicca) and it is like new. Because of his popularity, the wait time was two months. It was worth it.

Great to "meet" him as I have had many a Leica CLA'd by him. Nice to know it is a family affair.

Touching video - especially his references/connection to his Dad. Bravo! Well shot and produced.
This appears to be his new home as the address on his web site is different than his older address I have in my contacts. Looks beautiful!

It is amazing that he does his work on a regular table in the house. And he does amazing work. It is well worth the wait and I imagine wait times are getting longer.
