He tuned up the my first Leica, a IIIf Black Dial; then I bought a IIIf Red Dial from him. Finally, he overhauled an M2 for me. All the work was excellent, all the interactions were pleasant. I really enjoyed hearing his story and seeing him and his wife work on cameras and lenses. Thanks for posting this.

Wonderful! I originally became aware of YY through his eBay sales of Barnack cameras that he used to refurbish and repaint. Had no idea that his connection to Leica went back to the Cultural Revolution years.

My 1966/7 M4 had it's shutter curtain separate yesterday. I called Mr. Ye this morning and will be sending it in after the weekend. The current turnaround time as of April 14, 2023 is 4 months! Dang.
