Shortest RF distance of IIIf

I recently purchased a Skopar 25/4 for my IIIf. It's a great combo and i'm fine with the scale focusing. In the rare case I want to take a "close-up" at f4 guess focusing might be a bit more difficult, though.

When the lens is mounted the camera's rangefinder is fixed at the shortest distance with an uncoupled lens. Is that exactly 1m? In that case there would be an easy workaround for closer shots, using the first click stop on the lens...

In case anyone cares: i measured the distance myself and it seems to be around 84 cm on my IIIf. A good distance for the occasional portrait with the 25mm lens.
