Shot info on gallery images

When I uploaded my photos in the past there were lines for Camera, Lens, Film, etc. All that info is gone now. Was that a gallery software update? Or does it have something to do with my moving of the photos into albums?

yup. That's it! Technical Details only show up for the Member Gallery.

Wait, aren't the albums listed in the Member Galleries? I'm a member and have a gallery.. This thing is confusing!

From a quick review of the galleries, it appears to me that the Technical Info is shown for individual photos listed in the Member Galleries, but, when they are grouped as albums, that data is dropped. Is this correct?

Yes, that is correct. The tech data fields are not available for personal galleries, just images in the Member Gallery. It's nice to upload first to the member gallery and let your photos go through the front page with the tech data attached. When you move them you can cut and paste the data and post it in the description . Or you can upload directly to your personal gallery and put the data in the description field then.

Chris I look at the member gallery as basically the main top-level, general gallery. I don't know the actual file structure, sorry. You're a member and you have your own personal folder to subdivide as you wish. You just don't get the technical data fields when you do. :angel:

Chris, I 'beat' the system by including all that info in the 'title' or description line when I upload, here is a link to one of my shots. Just do what I've done and it lets everyone know what is going on with your shot.

I think I'm going to do that Jan. I've just been trying to wrap my brain around how this thing works. I liked it better when I didn't care

For this reason I just don't use any Albums...

This was one reason why I used Siteframe for years on my homepage. That's the software on which the Contax G run and the built in gallery is pretty good in this regard.

Now I'm in the process to move to wordpress for several reasons and haven't decided on a gallery yet.

When I'm done moving my old homepage, and deleting lots of pictures I don't like anymore, I'll set up a new gallery here.
