I like music. All music.
Justin Bieber's "As long as you love me"

What does this have to do with this site? The freaking OCD nerd that I am, I spotted him using a Nikon F at 3.58 in the video!
Funny thing is the image is reversed..
p.s. anyone know what lens that is?

Thanks for the time code, I was able to find it and it looks like a late run 50 1.4 non-Ai with the rubber rings but the hood is either a HN-3 or similar from a wide angle. Don’t be embarrassed, in twenty years it’ll be elevator music.

Too dark for me to see the lens clearly, though the hood looks similar to the ones for the 24 or 28mm Nikkors. Maybe a 28mm f2?

Eh. I like electronica dance music a lot, amongst other music... A lot of my friends wrinkle their noses when I mention it. Feh on them.
Based on the lens hood and the general shape of the focusing ring, the lens in the video looks like the Nikkor 20mm f/3.5 AI-S I had. That was one of my favorite Nikkor lenses, actually: small, light, as well as very sharp and contrasty, although perhaps not quite as good at the edges and corners as the later f/2.8 versions.

The HK-14 for the later 20mm f/2.8 looks similar; the 28/2 AI has a different shape and a screw in hood rather than a clamp on (HN-1) and the 28/2 is a much bigger lens overall.

I have that same 20mm as you. To me, the lens in the video looks longer, and it has that distinctive 45-degree bevel at the front of the focus ring. My 20mm doesn’t have that bevel.

Can’t freeze it at the exact time but what strikes me as funny is that print ads or music videos or what have you, when they feature a camera it always seems to be a film camera.
Very occasionally they may even hold it correctly.

Apparently it's a macro lens. When she's using it, his nose is about an inch away.

Looks like a couple of filters stacked on the 28/2. Or not....

I managed to get a decent screen capture of a good frame, reversed it R-L, and rendered it in B&W with some sharpening.

Yes, I think it looks more like the 28mm f/2 now that I see the details a bit better, and the hood has the HN-1 bevel too. The aperture ring, however, has a somewhat different shape from mine, and the body of the lens (the grab-ring) is black rather than silver. Maybe a later version of the same 28/2 lens I have? Definitely fitted with two filters and the hood.

That doesn't really look like a Nikkor at all to me; more like some something on an adapter. Maybe Adaptall or something similar. There seems to be a second ring in front of the aperture ring, which could mean numerous things - extension tube, adapter, pre-set ring...
