I've been offered a user M2 for a price of around 300 euro (450 US$), which I think is relatively cheap. I've seen a number of pictures. The camera looks nice, but according to the seller the rangefinder needs to be adjusted and there are two bites out of the vulcanite. The times seem okay, the shutter curtains are intact, apart from a very small dent there are no heavy scratches, dings or dents. Would I be able to adjust the rangefinder myself?

Point is, I already have a nice M2 and chance is that in a couple of months I would Ebay one or the other. Hopefully for a small profit. What would you do?

A double camera, for a collector has no use (apart from wanting spare parts), as a user you only would need it as a back up. These camera's sell for prices between Euro 300 and 450 and only go byond if they are in really ex++ or mint shape. Consider also that the price of shipment and a new quality jacket (look at prices e.g. at cameraleather) will not be cheap. So my guess is your profit, if you go for that, would be relatively low....... If it is a relatively low priced M2 with a low serial, chances are that it has separation problems with the rangefinder....

Also consider that in most cases these chromium cameras look much better on pictures than in reality!

I would spend it on another cam, lots to have....
