Should I change?

I use bw film only (mainly tri-x) and don´t want to change it (no chance of doing colour in future). I usually photograph people, street, kind of document - not landscapes, portraits or stills, so I don´t mind if results are sometimes quite contrasty or some lost shadows or highlights. I have Plustek 7300, but now got possibility to buy Minolta 5400 ("first edition", not version II). Should I go for it - what do I get what Plustek can not give me?
