Get it!
You might be surprised, how much smoother the wind and shutter release feels than with your M7.
If you don't like it, sell it - your price seems to be good for "tip top shape".

Just this guy, you know?
If you already have an M mount camera (especially true if it has a meter) and you are not buying this to sell it immediately, you do not need it.
Unless you need a back-up camera.
It is, as has been noted, a fantastic price though.

No, you shouldn't buy it! Keep the money, get your wife something nice, help your kids to pay a bill or whatever. You have some good gear - invest in some more films, in a darkroom and tell somebody who hasn't been able to afford a M6 where to get it.... Aquire friends, not gear... (I have to tell that myself every other day...)

Truth is beauty
As you have an M7, you could buy it to sell it and get a 50% free, new R4M, apart from trying the M6... Or get a nice lens... Or keep the M6 if you feel it's different enough...

Juan

I have never had one. Already own a bunch of M mount lenses. It would be way below normal value and it is in tip top shape, but .....$800 is $800.![]()
It's not a serious question, is it?

Rog, if I wanted sanity and smart thinking, I'd......:angel:No.
You don't need it, and you'll be disinclined to sell it, so you'll have $800 locked up in something you don't use. That's $800 you could put towards something you 'can't afford' -- and won't be able to afford if you keep on buying stuff you 'can afford'.
Been there, done that...

I'll jump in the the obligatory: Don't buy it, but tell me how to contact the seller!

Darren O'Keeffe.
If you don't need it, leave it for someone who does but who could only afford it at this bargain price--and then pride yourself on both your restraint and a good deed well done...
(However I admit this assumes such a person is waiting in the wings as a ready buyer: perhaps too much of an assumption?)

The best camera is one that still works!
Go ahead ... if nothing else it'll make you realise how good your Ikon is ... if you still have it that is!

I've never regretted buying my M6. I feel it's a very under rated camera, and much better than many of the comments on the intraweb would have you believe!

I'm on my 3rd, 2nd with MP finder upgrade (highly recommended). Keep in mind the shutter dial rotates differently from the M7, you'll probably end up preferring one over the other.
Get a nice Luigi or Zhou case for it. The standard strap is great.

here in Brazil M6s sell for around R$4000-5000, which would roughly be $2000-2500. so, worst case scenario, buy it and sell it here and get an insane profit (or pay off the trip hehe).

Why wouldn't someone in Brazil buy online from a seller who ships internationally?

An M6 even at $800, when you already have an M7, why? what's the difference?
I know, GAS, but that's really a bad answer

I'm with Roger, don't do it. With a M7 and a ZI in your stable you already have what you need, do something more creative with your $$.
Film comes to mind.
I think Roger's "locked amount" concept is terribly wise.

Buy film, a new lens, or an M3 instead. Or your wife a fancy dinner or week-end.
Or buy the M6 and sell the M7. And make the dinner even fancier
