should I trade my leica m6 for a mamiya 7?

Years ago I remember someone saying, "Never sell anything Leica you'll just end up buying it back at a higher price." Sad but true in my case.

I have the opportunity to trade my leica for a mamiya.
I am very interrested in medium format for its quality but still fear to regret trading my m6. What would you do?

Just want to remind you that with M6 you have a lot of fast lenses to choose from. Mamiya 7's lenses are relatively slower.

To chip in my couple of bob i have had leica M6's twice and am now on my second batch of Mamiya 6's. Both these cameras are just about the best you can get in their fields and in some respects are limited by the fact that they are rangefinders from the point of view that if I wanted to shoot a tight head shot I would use an SLR or if I needed a long lens or use a grad filter etc..... I loved and do love the way the leica feels in the hand but the mamiya is pretty close and as i'm sure many of you guy know the mamiya designer openly admitted being inspired by the M6. ultimately I would plump for the format 35mm is just too small and as much as I have loved my leicas I always hankered for more resolution. Another reason is to much choice you can get so many M fit lenses now I have all 3 Mamiya lenses now I don't have to trawl through ebay and dealers adds for more glass as i have all I can get I have 2 bodies and I just love the way the negs look. So unless you need ( and can afford ) the fast Leica lenses then any of the mamiya's would and is the choice for me.
