All the best,

Couldn’t get a picture....A Big Hulking Ugly SUV passed me on the AC expressway dong I’d estimate 100-120 mph. As it went by, it was a Rolls Royce SUV. Ugly as sin. I got a better look a bit ahead, as Four NJ state troopers had the thing pulled over!

Mike, amazing how many encounters you have there with high-end and exotic sports cars! I think that white one is a Lambo...

Doug, I am as amazed as you and yes the last one was a Lambo.

Yokohama is not that big of a city compared to Tokyo but the amount of foreign made cars on the road is unbelievable. BMW, Audi, Mercedes, they're everywhere! I have to wait at least 10 minutes for a Ferrari to come rolling along. I don't know where all the money is coming from but they just opened an Aston Martin dealership a little way down the road from the Alfa Romeo dealership the other day.

Speaking of Alfa Romeo...

...here comes one now!

^^^^^I’ve only ever seen those in California, though they must be selling them elsewhere.)

Your comment made me take a closer look at it- they are hybrids. I think California is the electric car state at this point. It is crazy to see California becoming a center for automotive design and manufacturing (especially manufacturing, there has always been some design here, but not at today's levels).

The BMW i8 is an interesting car with an interesting application of the hybrid idea. The car is made largely of carbon fiber supplied by a firm in Moses Lake, Washington just up the road from me...

I don't recall ever seeing one of these on the road.

I imagine the carbon fiber aspect is a spin-off from the aerospace industry presence in Washington. For hybrids I thought Karma Revero (Fisker Karma reinvented) was tops, but I think they are having some financial issues at this time.

"Nice" and "new" are probably debatable... but look at that iridescent custom paint on the side skirts! I took a B&W photo of this car with a different camera (ahem... M5), but it needed to be captured in color to be fully appreciated.

1st Generation Mitsubishi Eclipse / Eagle Talon / Plymouth Laser (1990-1994).

Nice, Charles, car and photo! Is that the new Acros II? I like the bite and tonality.

p.s. Now you just need a (BMW) M5 to shoot with your (Leica) M5. :D

Ho ho! I've never had an M5, preferring the Alpina equivalents, and given the state of the roads and traffic, probably will not ever.

It's original Acros, I laid down a small stock when it was discontinued. To my annoyance, given the cost of the new stuff, I find it works exceptionally well with classic Leica glass and in Pyro. At £12 a roll here, I need to find a decent substitute!
