At the "Pontiacs in Pontiac Illinois" car show today (almost the only large show happening this year around here):

Of course I have to include mine:

css9450, your Pontiac Fiero is a gem! My brother-in-law has had two, likes them. An interesting experiment by Pontiac, which IIRC they claimed to be an effort for an economical personal commuter car, avoiding the sports car aspect! I had a Toyota MR2 which used the same concept of shifting a front-drive power package toward the rear. Results in very responsive handling, doesn't it... Fun!

Here I'm with my VW in the Alps, 1975 circa.
Scan from a commercial lab printed photo, I should have the slide somewhere...

Was that a nice new car back in 1975? Either way, those are some stylish sunglasses, Robert!

Here's a nicely kept Volkswagen Type 2, just on the other side of the big street in my neighborhood.

Yet another wildfire has started here in Northern California, and the Glass Fire burning in wine country has already destroyed several wineries. I took this photo of a International Harvester Loadstar 1600 fire engine at Schweiger Vineyards last year. It might be the one that they are taking turns sleeping in, and using to put out spot fires on Spring Mountain.

I grew up in Pontiac. It was nice to see the images from your visit there. Thanks for sharing!

Some nice old British roadsters as seen at the wedding of my wife's cousin many years ago. The big Healey was restored by my wife's uncle after being salvaged from a life as a lawn ornament sitting next to a barn for far too long.

Just curious, where was this? Has a New England look to it.

The Fiat X1/9 was another like this. I recall they were prone to spins; I think the Fiero and MR2 were the same way. A feature of the mid-engine layout.

Good eye — the photo was taken in New Hampshire. I believe the town was Bretton Woods.
