Don’t stop, they’re fascinating, both automotively and culturally. What I mean is, in addition to showcasing interesting machinery (Alfa Zagato!), they raise questions such as, “Who on earth lavishes that kind of care on a Sunbeam Alpine?”

Thank you, Guth. The funny thing is that after I took pictures of the yellow Corvette and it drove off I sat on a bench and was eating my lunch when the Alfa Romeo showed up. He parked right in front of me so I had to take the pictures.

BTW, there’s a great coffee shop across the street from the Alfa. On the weekend it’s a gathering place for all sorts of people and groups. Dog lovers, Bikers, Car enthusiasts, all sorts of people get coffee and sandwiches and sit outside to enjoy the day and chat about things.

Thanks, Murray... Some uncanny parallels here; are you a long-lost cousin? My uncle in West Seattle had a red one too, and then added a yellow TF. Later yet there was a blue Triumph Spitfire. I think these all were sold as he moved to San Diego but he showed up again later with a Mazda RX7. He liked his sportscars. The TF saw a lot of success in local autocross, but that tends to wear and break parts so the TD gradually lost pieces!
 
Doug, we were in Bellevue, but I'm always open to finding lost family!

My dad drove MGs from spring (?) of 1951 to January, 1968. He turned 50 in December, 1967, and a month later he traded the MGB in on a Rover 2000 TC (an awesome car that I turned him on to).

I don't like cars, as such. Over the years, I've owned a few of them and consider them to be the worst possible investment imaginable. This said, some man-made objects have an intrinsic beauty. Some cars do, some cameras do, and some canoes do...OK I'll stop here. Did I mention bicycles? Cheers, OtL
 
A beautiful car. I used to drive Land Cruisers for many years -my employer would buy them straight from the factory in Japan. They were bare-bones models with plastic seats with AC as the only luxury. The organization tried out other brands but always returned to the Land Cruisers.
 
A nice little VW T2 van from the 60s. Someone wasn't happy with the parking. Shot on Leica M2 with Nikkor HC 5cm f2 LTM on Portra 160.
