Okay, well, I promise I won't post more photos of it to this thread ... but my '67 Lancia Fulvia Coupe interior restoration project has been completed and I'm out and about driving the car, finally. 😀 And I have to say, the folks at Finish Line Interiors did an absolutely superb job!

While there are still a few mechanical and bodywork details to be attended to, the Fulvia is now pretty much done for all intents and purposes. And it is an absolutely kick to drive. 😀

Oh yeah, these two photos were made with an iPhone 11 Pro using the Moment camera app and rendered from raw files in Lightroom Classic.

Hey, Godfrey, thanks for taking notice!

I was eating lunch alfresco on Nihon Odori boulevard; in other words, I was eating a sandwich on a bench while being observed by a bunch of hungry pigeons. In the distance I saw a sports car approaching; I thought it was a Mazda Roadster of some early vintage. As it got closer I realized that it was not a Mazda but what it was… I didn’t know. So, I swung my camera up and got a quick shot of it coming and going. After I got home I reviewed the pictures from my day's outing and after some googling I discovered that the Sports car was a FIAT Barchetta. According to the internet this car is/was quite popular in Great Britain and Japan (despite being a left side steering wheel car). It was the first Barchetta I’d ever seen in Japan. Also, according to the internet, it’s a damn fine car - handles on the road extremely well. Anyway, life is full of surprises!

Hello Godfrey, is there anywhere else online where we could see more images of your Lancia? Perhaps a car-related forum that you participate in, or maybe an online photo album somewhere? Based on the shot provided here I'd say that work done to the interior looks fantastic. What a great little car. You must be floating on a cloud while your Lancia clings to the asphalt!

Thanks for asking: All the photos (and videos) of the Lancia I've posted so far are in an album on flickr.com:


I've got more to render and post... I'll keep adding to the album.
And very soon it will be time for another photo shoot with the Hasselblad ... the new steering wheel has arrived, and the new dashboard fascia wood is due here by Monday. I'm making a mount for the new windshield washer bottle (with electric pump!) now, and a small set of additional cleanup details will be handled both mechanically and bodywork -wise over the next couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, it's running great and is indeed my fantasy come to life.
