Show me a nice old car

Nice big Austin there. A couple of years after selling the DS I got the itch to skin my knuckles again and bought the Austin 7 pictured here. I had obviously forgotten what it was like to drive a small pre war car with questionable controls. It didn't enjoy modern traffic and nor did I. I kept it for a year and sold at a good profit, of course, if anything had broken it would have been at a loss. The chap I sold it to couldn't decide whether to spend the money on a flight in a Spitfire or buy the car. He chose the car...

My dear old dad once said that the trick was to put a row of bricks in the back footwell to improve handling. I'll pass that on without any guarantee; at your own risk; etc...

It is always so hard to see these cars as a "nice old car" as they are just as fresh and new to my eye now as they were when I bought my two year old 1970 BMW 2002. Like all things, they are locked into their time which seems only yesterday in my memory.

Damn, I'm getting old... LOL!

I remember very well this Alfa Romeo.
It is a Giulietta Sprint Speciale, designed in cooperation with Bertone from 1959 to 1966.
