Not so sure that "nice" describes this interesting junkyard jalopy!
This one looks "nicer"...

Works Bugatti Type 39, Prescott Hill Climb 80th anniversary. This car was present at the first hill climb at Prescott 80 years ago, as was Ettore Bugatti, who used his Rolleiflex there. So it seemed appropriate to use my 3.5F with Kodak Portra400

I'm greatly privileged to able to get to see so many of these incredible cars on a regular basis. This though is a completely unmolested original car, and that is a rare thing.

Doug, didn't have a Leica SL to shoot the SL?
Life is so unfair.
I know, want a Leica S2, too.
Thanks guys... I guess the S2 had to do for this in lack of the Leica SL! The M-B was part of some tour group, possibly a car club, indicated by the fender sticker. We are members of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America, and they do sponsor group driving tours, so this may have been part of that. Driver & Navigator names are on stickers on the upper doors. Also, it was raining lightly off and on, yet the 300SL owners left the top down!?!

The car is participating in, or has participated in, the Colorado Grand. I looked into doing it myself about twenty years ago. Suffice it to say, if you cannot afford a 300 SL, you probably can’t afford to partake of this either. Always looked like fun though, if you are a car person.

I walked up and we chatted. I asked what year his car was, he said "58". I said can I take a shot with my 53 [Contax iia]? He posed for a shot. I had the Voigtalnder SC Skopar 21mm f4 on, so it worked out nicely.
