Show me a nice old car

One last from the same session as my two other most recent posts. 1930 Ford at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, North Carolina, USA. This batch of cars made even most of my cameras look young.

Rolleiflex E, Planar 80/2.8, Ilford Pan F+ 50, 1/250 @ f/8. Rodinal 1+50 for 11 minutes. Epson V700 scan.

1957 Oldsmobile. The man on the far right is the owner. He painted it himself in his garage a dozen years ago!

H 307 #5 Bob's 'Cuda 440!!!! by T&T and Mr B Abrahamsson, on Flickr

Bob's Cuda 440 convertible. One owner car, he bought it new in 1971. Had it specced out fully and later even upgraded the engine for some more power. Bob admitted that he made a mistake though - should have gotten the Hemi Cuda instead, but he wanted the extra power that the 440 offered!!!!!

Tom A--oh dear! If Bob had only known--the Hemi was only "listed" as 425 HP--it really was much MUCH more! Some tests put it at 525 HP at the rear wheels--meaning much more at the crankshaft. The Corvette L88 was the same--rated at 430 Hp when it was much more too. NASCAR and insurance rules of the times..good ol days!!

I bought a brand new Duster 340 in 1972 that was "factory" rated at 275 hp but dyno'ed at 325 hp at the rear wheels. Kept that car until I sold it in 1987 :bang: like a dummy. Still miss that car.....
