Perhaps a club outing? All in bright colors! And I think you caught the same silver BMW in both pics!

Doug, the three owners were standing nearby on the sidewalk drinking coffee and enjoying watching me take pictures of their cars. By-the-way, they [the owners] all looked to be in their 60's/70's and had an air of boyish charm about them.
All the best,
Mike
I think this is a similar-vintage Corvette...

^ Nice one, Doug, did you take it for a drive?

Lefthand drive, two seater, says "Mercury" on the hood - I'm guessing that this is a Ford Mercury Capri (1990-94 vintage).

Unfortunately the Corvette was simply parked without the keys left in the ignition!
On the Mercury Capri, I think you're right... and I believe this was made by Mazda, or at least in cooperation with Mazda. A guy living near me has one and as I recollect it was made in Australia.

^^^A bit of fun history...^^^ The first SAAB cars were hacked together by SAAB aircraft engineers and mechanics who wanted to go racing on frozen lakes in Sweden. It got out of hand from there...

The owner of this one a few blocks from my house didn't leave the keys in the ignition either. Since I couldn't take it for a drive, I settled for a few photos.

I'm gonna guess 1957 or so Corvette. The Corvette is for sure, the year is iffy.

Corvette is a ‘59, though this section on the ‘58 and ‘60 seem almost identical. They changed the rest of the car, but left this bit alone, then in ‘61 rear end changed pretty dramatically, becoming what would more or less be the back half of the ‘63 Stingray.
