If we’re honest, and we often aren’t, nobody.
And, I don’t know what an F-N is. Fraser-Nash?

Thanks, Charles. I had a Z in Frazer to start and it didn’t look right. I should have looked it up, but where’s the fun in that?

Indeed. It's a fascinating part of British motoring history. Archibald Frazer-Nash first started with H.R. Godfrey building the GN cyclecars (one below - they are insane fun). When they ran out of money, HJ Aldington bought the successor company AFN. It carried on making chain driven cars, and also built BMW cars under licence for the UK market (also below), and in that role, Aldington persuaded the BMW board after the fall of Germany to allow Bristol Cars (of which he was a director) to use the BMW hemi straight six and other technology in post war cars.
Roll forward, they carried on building FN cars, AFN became the importer for Porsche, it split into different companies, then finally 10 years ago Frazer-Nash consulting bought Bristol Cars out of bankruptcy, then went under itself. It's almost up there with Aston Martin for insolvencies!

Too many cameras....
Hi Andrew- I've pulled a trick to add a larger version of your photo. This and other techniques are outlined at length in a sticky thread in RFF's Help/Feedback forum... A look there could be helpful, especially if you start at the end for the most recent comments!
Belated thanks for doing this. I can see the revised photograph on some computer set-ups, but not others, but don't (yet) know why. I'll look up the guidance you have given for next time and finally get the hang of this.
Regards

This negative is slightly damaged but not as damaged as this car once was , apparently .
I was told by the owner that it had survived the attack on Pearl Harbour and had been completely restored .
I don`t know if that information matches the model and year of the car .
