Show me a nice old car

If it's red, take a picture of it. That's rule number one of photography, at least color photography. Here you have a customized red Chevy van with nice pin striping, not shown. And parked in front of the owner's tattoo parlor in Seaside, OR. Perfect. Get that ink done, check out the van and cruise Seaside, Oregon. A perfect day.

What more can one ask for in this life?

Not all old cars are restored or well maintained beauties. This pre-war (WW II, or "The Big One" as Archie used to say) panel inhabits this spot on West Marine Drive during the summer months, er weeks, er days, OK, whenever it happens. Summer is in short supply and adored.

Very cool car! I got to know these many years ago when I lived in Portugal.

Murray, these are wonderful cars. Simple, reliable, sturdy, comfortable, an example of French genius. I love mine and it is out on our sunny days, top open. It takes me back to when I was in France in the early 60's, defending democracy. LOL It was my Army time. I loved the 2CV then and still do.

Based on the Citroen 2CV is the Baby Brousse which was produced between 1963 and 1987 in former French colonies and overseas territories. 31.000 were made. The idea was to produce cars without having to invest in expensive stamping machines, hence the square look. I found this one on the coast of Vietnam, in Vung Tau.

That Land Rover is in nice shape! A buddy of mine who lives near Oxford has a similar looking one, although I think his is the longer wheelbase model.
