Murray, these are wonderful cars. Simple, reliable, sturdy, comfortable, an example of French genius. I love mine and it is out on our sunny days, top open. It takes me back to when I was in France in the early 60's. defending democracy. LOL It was my army time. I loved the 2CV then and still do.

I envy you that, boojum! Lots of fun!

Here is a nice old Chevy van set up as a produce peddling van. It is in the Blackhawk Museum in Blackhawk, CA. I had to ask one of the docents about polishing the cars. I figured it was labor intensive. Nope. They show up spotless and shiny and all they need is dusting as they never see sunlight or weather.

I had been walking around for hours without a classic car sighting, then suddenly I spotted this MG trying to escape! I swung my camera up and snapped this shot just before he rounded the corner and sped out of sight. I don't know if the car has its original paint or it's a respray; it is the first one of that color that I've seen in Yokohama.

That's a Speedster, isn't it?
(Basing that on the low windshield and the "lumpy" top. I believe the Cabriolet had a smoother, lined top and a taller windshield.)

More Fulvia Follies… My own “nice old car”.

Lots of work going on this past week, getting ready for the interior refurb job. I pulled it out into the church parking lot to make some "before" photos of the interior ... haven't processed those yet ... but also got annoyed for the last time with all the stickers on the windows. I removed them.

It looks a lot cleaner to my eye. No more clutter on the windows breaking up the line. They’re on Flickr…

This guy was like a bat out of hell. He was flying through the curves. I was surprised that I got these shots.
After fire report: I noticed in the photos that he had side pipes. The man was pushing his car to the limits.
