Show me your latest darkroom prints

Hi Will,

Please excuse my late answer, I just did not see your question before 😱

Sandra, that's an explanation worthy of Tim Rudman 🙂
Thank you for taking the time to educate us with this fascinating way to print.

Had I the power to make your post a Sticky, I would.

Brilliant photos, Jeromie, and superb prints. They've got that warm richness of tone that I so love. One doesn't see it all that often, even in all the prestgious exhibitions I've visited over many years in the UK and Europe.

(Incidentally, when I do see it, the critical factors seem to be the use of Dektol and the paper that best suits it that is being manufactured at the time. I remember that Agfa Portriga used to be used quite a bit in the past, and sometimes Kodak Polycontrast F.)

Thanks again.

Oh my, bet those look great in person. Left the edges of the negative in place, I love that look. Do you print RA4 at home? Color printing has always been a mystery to me.

Thanks Jeromie. The funny thing is, I like the film edge look in color, but not B&W unless it's a Type 55 negative. Yes I print RA4 at home. I use a Beseler Dichroic head and a roller to process the prints. I definitely recommend giving it a try.

Really like these a lot. Well composed and very nicely printed. Keep 'em coming man.

Tanks a lot ! I'm very happy about how these turned out. The piano one gave me a little trouble because my negative is quite thin and the contrasts are huge. In these cases, the darkroom bin is my best friend. I love being in the darkroom and I'm really trying to progress (if that means anything).
