Very nice print, Blkrcat.

If you want to get rid of the dust on the thin parts of the negative: it is easy to clean the negative before putting it into the enlarger by using a binocular watchmakers loupe under a strong light.

that's a water stain. But I never really bothered with it because I was just looking to see what I could get tonewise using split grade.

I have some which I purchased locally and this one was printed on the paper from the batch donated to me by RFF member.
Without these papers I wouldn't print. New paper is not in my reach financially.

Nice! It is clear that you used gelatin paper because resin coated paper is more flat. The effect is quite original, not unlike cinemascope!

This is what I use:


enlarger: Focomat IIc (using the 6cm Focotar lens, stopped down to f/8); 35mm carrier for Focomat IIc; paper: Adox MCC 110 (18x24cm); developer: Eukobrom; clock: Hauck Electronic; Leitz enlarging board (masking frame) 40X50cm; drying press Büscher 50X65cm; Seal Compress 110 (for flattening the prints); Ilford multigrade filters no. 00 and no. 5 (for split grade printing).

No burning or dodging.

developing time: 3 minutes.
