I got to start using my new darkroom in the attic - a bit small, a bit damp, but okay for one person
🙂
For start i got a bunch of old-ish bw paper and i decided to run a project to learn and exercise.
So i took some negs from 10-20 years ago that have my 5 friends (still bachelors/kidless) and i took some recent negs from a year ago from a weekend we spent together with kids wives husbands and all, and i printed for each family 28 prints in 5x7", half the old ones half the new ones.
Planning to mail them out as surprise.
See the stacks old/new below.
The "old" ones i printed on old brovira-speed, these were a little bit fogged and they also have a creamy base, not today's bright white. The images also ended up lower contrast this way. The "new" ones i printed on kentmere fineprint fiberbased which has a much higher default contrast (without using the VC feature). This also from the practical reasons that i did not have more than 100 sheets of the same type
😀
Flattening the fiberbased ones now under some heavy books.
The cat was fascinated by this activity unseen before.
