Show me your latest darkroom prints

I rarely print because I don’t have a dedicated darkroom. When I print several times a year I convert my bathroom to a darkroom. But every time I do print it is such a rewarding experience. Last weekend I was positively surprised to print some quite decent prints from really bad negatives. Negatives were so contrasty and overexposed that I was not really able to scan it properly. Yet the prints on a very old grade 1 paper were quite fine.

Thank you, Pan, I'll try to see this film.

Very nice picture Erik - part of the Covid-19 isolation times ?

Regarding"Ida", I think you will deeply appreciate this movie. The movie trailer gives you a taste as to how every scene is composed (the whole film is shot in b&w).

Thank you Pan, I've been looking the trailer, now I remember that I've seen the film a couple of years ago. I liked it very much!

No, the picture is from a few weeks before the corona drama, it is my own bike!

Recently I get my MCC 110 from a shop in Belgium, Retrocamera. The paper is a few years old, but that is no problem.

I don't get it why Fotoimpex is out of stock for such a long time. Things seemed to be OK in 2019.

I always use 18x24cm. Do you have a good enlarger?

Erik.

Fantastic prints around here. I've got a 2" high stack of RC prints but these haven't been scanned as 24x30cm doesn't fit on an Epson flatbed and part of the darkroom enjoyment is in avoiding digital workflow.

Adox mentioned there was a component that became unavailable due to a supplier issue, and they haven't been able to manufacture MCC. Come corona and the rest of projects are on hold. I'd be eager to get ahold of some Polywarmtone when it comes out.

I practically always split grade print. Your TMY prints look terrific and fine grained. No grain aliasing when printing!

Thank you! Also for the information.

I develop the TMY in Perceptol (1+2 @ 20 degrees C for 10 minutes).

I use an underground Magnifax 4a with Ragonar 90&50 mm lenses.

Do you have a good timer?

It takes some experience to make good prints. I have been making prints since I was 12 years old. Now I am 65 ...

Good luck, just ask me if you have a problem. Read a lot about printing.

Yes, I have a good enlarger timer.
I am learning by doing, learn a new skill step by step.

So glad that you could help me out.
