On our way to "The Great Sand Dunes National Monument" we stopped here and I was struck by the beauty of this scene. It was difficult to walk around with so many "stickers" everywhere.

Very nice portrait, Erik. The subject is very relaxed - a friend? I like the background, too. Nicely out of focus but it’s still possible to see little clues which give a little bit of information about the man. Fine work.

Can you say what the background to these prints you post is? Are they scans of old prints from your portfolio or scans of recent prints? If the latter then you’re very productive!

Thank you, Koolzak! These are all recent prints. I started those series - now 379 pieces - https://www.flickr.com/photos/erik_van_straten/- because I like prints much more than just scanned negatives. The tonality of prints is much more of my liking.

Also I wanted to have prints because prints are in my opinion the final goal of photography. Also I enjoy printing very much.

Erik.
