Last summer I fulfilled one of my long time wishes. Visited NYC for first time and wandered the streets with a Minolta CLE and couple of M lenses. Taking my time to wet print some of the gems in the darkroom set up in my basement bathroom.

Some Kaliatypes on new to me paper.
I like it em, I mostly like the paper, but it's also not clearing properly and I'm not sure if it's the paper or edt is caput.

That is a lovely print.

I like this photo a lot, Erik. It has such a fascinating mixture of elements to it, each with their own story as it were, but adding to each other by being together. There’s the two-sided gentle distortions (a touch of Kertesz perhaps), the middle background setting the scene, and the most intriguing of all, the human element of the vivacious young lady, smiling at you as you take the shot.(I wonder if she was smiling because she recognises a Leica photographer when she sees one - one of her bags looks as if it might have a serious camera in it!)

Thank you, Anthony for this interpretation of the scene. To be honest, I did not understand at all what actually was happening when I took the picture, but there was such a photogenic scene before my eyes that I simply had to take the picture. It is absolutely one of my favorites, not least because of the flying white dove exactly in the center of the photo.

Erik.
