Was in Thailand a couple of years ago, one of the weeks we stayed at a resort in Phuket. The place was immaculate and they had employed stonemasons to do beautiful walls. This is one such wall, I could not resist the image because the way the light shone and lit up the craftsman’s exquisite work had to be recorded. I knew when matted it would be an impressive image, well I think it is.

May I ask, do you print solely for pleasure or do you also sell your prints? What negative developer was used?

Hello Anthony, Thank you for your kind words. This is just a pastime for me, I have gifted some prints and one recently a French friend was happy to receive the Notre Dame image, he commutes between France and the USA, in fact he is flying back to Paris this evening.
I use Ilford paper developer, it has worked well for me. Dry down is the real issue with my printing. I now use a hairdryer and a microwave before I go to the final print. No prints shown have been dodged or burnt in, I use a spot meter and it really helps to get a fine negative.
The contrast the Zeiss Super Ikonta lens produces is unique, it’s a dream to print its negatives.
 
Printed this for the first time two weeks ago. Taken back in 1985, for those not aware of its location, it’s the tomb of the unknown warrior in Rome. I doubt there is another tomb like it elsewhere, for a fallen soldier from World War One. It is a magnificent sight when the light is good. At least I waited for the people and vehicles to get placed correctly before the click.
