If your Contax repair man is happy with Super Nettels and also Contax Is could I have his details?

My Super Nettel is quite tidy and works flawlessly when I pour half a tin of lighter fluid into it. As the fluid dries out it seizes up...I have a Contax I that does the same...so we know what they need!

This one is from 1931, the first model with a standardized screw mount for interchangable lenses, called Leica I model C standardized. There was also a (very rare) model that could only use lenses that were adapted to one specific body.

Hi,

Difficult to describe simply as all interpretations will differ but chrome is shiny and nickel is greyish. You'll see when the III arrives.

Or you could go by the date; generally pre-1936 are nickel but there are exceptions. Part of your GAS should be pointing you at the "Leica Pocket Book" by Hove Foto Books...
